6. Ibiza Sunset
With out doubt simply the mention of the words “Ibiza Sunset” conjures up something amazing and generally the sunsets in ibiza never fail to impress. Up the road from San Antonio harbour lies the world famous sunset strip. If you are into your music then you are familiar with the absolute classic track Café Del Mar which encapsulates everything about the mystical island of Ibiza. The Café Del Mar bar which sits proudly on the sunset strip is responsible for launching all those classic chill-out compilations you find the world over. You will need to ensure you have a good spot whereby you can witness a a truly unique and memorable experience see the sight of the sun dropping down in between the two rocks and slowly sinking into the sea. As the sun disappears the crowd scattered along the strip clap as if to say farewell to an old friend. Whilst the sunset strip is called so for a reason. Other great spots that where one can witness the spectacle in all its glory is at Cala D’Hort bach wich offers a view of Es Vedra rock from an alternative angle to that seen in most of the photos. Here one can watch the sun disappear behind the famous Es Vedra rock or a little further on up the road to a pirate tower known as Torre D’Es Savinar. Then there is Sa Talaia which boasts both the best sunrise and sunsets anywhere, as it is the highest point on Ibiza. Another great spot is Benirras, where the sun sets between the two edges of the cove, behind Cap Bernat. Worth a mention is the now famous hippy drumming ceremony that occurs on a Sunday at sunset. Finally, there is Rooftop Nine the new kid on the block and an equally spectacular place to see an amazing Ibiza Sunset, right in the heart of San Antonio. In 2016 the bay of San Antonio under went something of a rejuvenation by the way of major investment and the Rooftop Nine was certainly a fine example of this.
