14. Can Marça Caves
Simply amazing sea views as you descend steeply to the entrance of the cave. The views across the bay of Port San Miguel are simply quite stunning and make the whole Can Marca Caves experience worthwhile. The cave has an area of 8,500 m² and features numerous different cave formations such as stalactites, stalagmites, columns and helictites. The tour guide generally speaks in a number of languages so everybody can understand which is great for the different nationalities who make the trip. The guide goes into detail about the cave being an old refuge for pirates, buccaneers and smugglers who hoarded their contraband in the cave and all the dangers they faced at the time. At the heart of the tour is a spectacular Music & Light Show with a 30 ft cascade of diamond-bright waterfall. Overall the tour is around 40 mins. NOT suitable for the disabled or less able bodied individuals.
